°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ officials and donors to the Crawford Hall project officially break ground for the new building.

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ officially broke ground on Crawford Hall, the future home of the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship, on March 8 in a ceremony attended by more than 400 people, including university officials, donors, alumni, students, elected officials and special guests.

The °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Bachelor of Social Work degree during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held March 8. The new degree was developed based on the high demand for licensed social workers within the areas surrounding °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s Regional Campuses.  The program will be offered on the Ashtabula, Salem and Tuscarawas campuses.

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ President Todd Diacon updated the university community on recent actions regarding the appointment of Sean Broghammer, Ph.D., as °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s new vice president for enrollment management.

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ alumnus Earl K. Miller, Ph.D., and his wife, Marlene M. Wicherski, have pledged $2 million to support research programs and students in °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s Brain Health Research Institute. The Brain Health Research Institute is a recently established, cross-disciplinary institute that focuses on research and education of brain health across the lifespan.

The PNC Foundation has awarded $75,000 to °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ to help ensure success among students who commonly face barriers in college. This grant aligns with PNC’s focus on addressing economic inequality among Black American and low- to moderate-income communities, and it will provide resources for students that will help them complete college and establish a strong foundation on which to build their careers.

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ is the sole university in the U.S. to receive the prestigious 2022 Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization from NAFSA: Association of International Educators. The honor recognizes °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ for overall excellence in integrating international education throughout all facets of the university and its campuses.
