°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ supporters once again joined together during the university’s Giving Tuesday campaign to raise more than $2.8 million to support a variety of student scholarships and programs.
The Wick family has a long history of philanthropy at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ that began in 1984 when brothers Bob and Walt Wick first established scholarships to support undergraduate poets at the university. This most recent gift of $1 million brings the family’s total lifetime commitment to the university to more than $3.5 million.
°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ recognizes alumni who, through leadership, character and hard work, are making a difference. During Homecoming Weekend, 10 Golden Flashes were presented with Alumni Awards, and nine alumni received Lifetime Achievement recognitions from the university’s Black Alumni Chapter.
On Friday, Oct. 27 Flash the Mascot made new friends at Main Street Kent's Family Friendly Halloween event.

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ leadership and donors known as the Renaissance Scholars Society will gather to commemorate 50 years of education abroad in Florence, Italy, during the first week of October.
In recognition of the generosity and commitment of James E. Mayer Jr. and Glen and Nancy Warner for their gifts toward a $500,000 endowment, the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Board of Trustees approved on Sept. 20 naming the main building at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ at Ashtabula as Susan J. Stocker Hall.
°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ canines and their human companions came to the Kent Campus for the Dog Days of Summer.
