Much like the difficult art of aerial combat, this project is a problem of energy, gravity, speed and momentum. These forces are not at all alien to architecture and can be seen working within the folded paper structure. The project seeks to convert the kinetic energy of flight into the potential energy of tectonics. Through both common materials and uncommon structure “Rolling-Scissors” demonstrates the ways in which architectural form can overcome the burdens of representation and simply present itself as a model of matter dancing with energy.
