There is a light inside every Golden Flash, and it is our charge to shine that light on others. °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s most generous annual tradition, Giving Tuesday, encourages us to reflect on our experiences and shine our light to make our communities Forever Brighter.
°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ supporters once again joined together during the university’s Giving Tuesday campaign to raise more than $2.8 million to support a variety of student scholarships and programs.
When we come together, Golden Flashes create a legacy of brilliance that makes the world Forever Brighter.
At °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ, we are continuing the proud tradition of giving back during the Giving Tuesday campaign this November. This monthlong celebration of giving brings the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ community together to support student success and build a brighter future for the blue and gold.
This November, members of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ community joined together to shine their light on philanthropy. During the November campaign, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s Giving Tuesday raised $3.6 million, marking the sixth year it has brought in more than $1 million to support scholarships and programs across °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s eight-campus system.
This Giving Tuesday, shine your light on °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ students and programs with a gift of $25 or more to the fund of your choice and receive a special Forever Brighter pin to celebrate your impact. °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s most generous annual tradition runs Nov. 1-29, with special giving incentives throughout the month. On Thursday, Nov. 3 at 5:30 p.m., the women’s basketball team will be hosting Mercyhurst University in the MAC Center for their first game of the season. All °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ faculty and staff who present a valid °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ ID will receive free admission for themselves and one guest.
This year, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ donors demonstrated the power of philanthropy by giving at unprecedented levels. The 2021 Giving Tuesday campaign shattered the previous records, more than tripling last year’s record of $2.2 million.
°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ’s season of giving launched on Nov. 1 with Giving Tuesday, a monthlong celebration of philanthropy. Now halfway through the campaign, the generosity of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ community has already begun to shine.
