Frank Migliozzi earned his Master’s of Public Health from �������ϲ����� in 2014 and serves as the Health Commissioner for Trumbull County Combined Health District. The organization has 36 employees and serves a population of 165,000. According to Migliozzi, “a majority of the administration team have master’s degrees in public health from �������ϲ�����. We value the partnership we have with the university.”

"We are also extremely grateful for the support we received from the Trumbull regional campus during the peak of COVID-19 in the Fall of 2020,” he adds. The campus served as both a vaccination site and drop location for personal protective equipment. “The entire nursing staff and students administered vaccines. The students were involved the entire way and gave over 20,000 vaccines to our residents,” states Migliozzi.

In addition to administering vaccines, four students and two instructors did intensive case and contact tracing. “During the pandemic, there was tremendous stress on all employees. We were extremely fortunate to hire an accreditation coordinator who has a master’s degree from �������ϲ�����. In addition to assisting during the pandemic, the accreditation coordinator is involved with contact tracing and coordinating efforts with the Emergency Operations Center (EOC),” adds Migliozzi.

When asked of his interest in public health, Migliozzi stated, “our family had a restaurant in the early 1980s and I became very interested in food safety.” He earned his bachelor’s degree in environmental health studies from Youngstown State University.
