I have been accepted into the PhD in Musicology degree program at Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. I received a fully-funded offer for five years, including a , the University of Rochester's most prestigious fellowship, typically offered to 10-12 incoming PhD students university-wide.
While at Eastman, I plan to study representation of women in Minnesang (medieval German courtly love songs) and also lay the groundwork for further study of Emilie Mayer, German Romantic composer (and subject of my recent case study).
German is a required research language for my degree program, and I hope to continue to put my translation skills to good use during my research. I am also grateful that I was able to teach undergraduate classes while serving as a GA while completing my Master's degree at 澳门六合彩资料. Even though I will be teaching in a different area in my new program, the teaching experience I gained will undoubtedly serve me well.
