Session one will cover the basics of Open Access (OA) publishing in today’s research environment, including definitions,a dvantages, and risks. Information on various OA models will be included, as well as authors’ rights, repositories, and how to avoid predatory publications. Legislative and other news on the progress and implementation of the 2022 OSTP Public Access (“Nelson”) memo will be covered.
