Commencement Ceremonies Held on Salem Campus

Caps and GownsCommencement ceremonies were held May 13 for the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Salem Campus. Dr. Steve Nameth, dean of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Columbiana County Campuses, presided over the event, along with Dr. Celeste Oprean, assistant dean for the Salem Campus.

Students speakers Devyn Rothbrust and Lisa KessegThe keynote speaker was Rep. Timothy Ginter, State Representative for the 5th Ohio House District.

Student speakers included Lisa Kesseg of the Insurance Studies program and Devyn Rothbrust of the Horticulture program.

Nearly 400 degrees were awarded this semester between the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Salem and East Liverpool campuses.All Smiles

There is a new – and modern – way for students on the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Salem and East Liverpool campuses to get advice from a mental health expert: the Minutes 4 Mental Health podcast.

Penny Minor, Ph.D., is the counseling specialist for the Columbiana County campuses who hosts a weekly podcast that she launched at the beginning of the semester. So far, more than 100 students are registered as listeners and, as word gets out, more are joining that list.

Looking to better prepare fieldwork and clinical instructors and educators for working with Generation Z students, the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ College of Applied and Technical Studies' Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) and Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) programs will host a joint virtual continuing education session for licensed practitioners on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024.
