The College of Aeronautics and Engineering presents FAA Safety Technician Mark Spencer. In his nearly 15 years with the FAA, Mark has served as an Air Traffic Control Specialist at the Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport and Cleveland Center. He holds a Private Pilot Certificate and Control Tower Operator Certificate.

Mark serves as a contact for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for the Cleveland FSDO and assists both inspectors and the public with UAS related questions. Throughout his career, Mark has assisted with aviation events such as the Cleveland National Airshow, pilot deviations, compliance and enforcement activities, and conducts STEM outreach as part of the .
